ABOUT ME
Lauren Zavier, LCSW, focuses her practice on helping people develop practical ways to change behaviors and live the life they want. Lauren believes that every goal takes work and that there are no shortcuts. Lauren helps others to learn to face the unknown with strength and curiosity.
Lauren started her career in sales and marketing before becoming a social worker. After obtaining her social work degree from NYU in 2000, Lauren spent the next 15 years doing grief and bereavement work and helping patients with chronic and terminal illness as a part of the Palliative Care team at NYU Langone Medical Center. Following her palliative care work, Lauren then moved to help people plan for a better future through her work in Foster Care and with the homeless population with mental illness and addictions. Lauren continues to teach and speak to audiences on the importance of Advanced Directives and planning for end of life.
